The writers of One Tree Hill (Mark Schwahn especially) have loved Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) from the very beginning, so it's safe to say we'll be getting little nods and odes to Tree Hill's cutest couple as the show wraps up its series run. Another blast from the past? Chris Keller (Tyler Hilton) possibly causing Nathan's jealous side to rear its ugly head again. How's that for vintage OTH?

Marcie in San Pedro, Calif.: What did Tyler Hilton have to say about Chris Keller's return to One Tree Hill when you talked to him?

Check back later this week for our full interview with Tree Hill's bad boy, but we can offer up this tidbit to hold you over. When we asked about how Chris returns to town, he revealed that it's a "sneaky situation" that brings him back. "Chris Keller is always being his sneaky little self, and it's definitely how he comes [back]: in a very sneaky way," he tells us. Oh, and guess what else we get along with Chris' return? Jealous Nathan!

Sarah: One Tree Hill scoop please!

Producers are looking for an actor who can do an Eastern European accent for a hit man with a dramatic flair. Wait. What? Hit man? Oh boy, we really like how this is season is shaping up. It wouldn't be right to have normal storylines for our Tree Hill-ers. Who wants to bet that Dan will somehow be involved with this hired gun storyline? And who knew North Carolina was so dangerous?

Katie: One Tree Hill! Anything?

Dan (Paul Johannson) is definitely back to his crazy-pants ways, full force. We can tell you that early on next season, Dan will be threatening someone's life. Or as he says, it's not a threat…it's a promise. But at least this time, he's not threatening the life of one of his family members. Baby steps, people.

Yes, it’s true! Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Mia (Kate Voegele) will swing by to see Cate (Shiri Appleby) at the radio station for some nice crossover love on the Oct. 12 episode of LUX. I’m told the CW execs are hoping to get the OTH crowd fully sucked into LUX—as you should be!

Jenelle from Conn.: Yay! One Tree Hill is back tonight! The death of Haley’s mom made for such a great episode! What happens after?

Well, when we talked to James Lafferty, he had this to say: “Haley has a long road ahead of her in dealing with her mother’s death, as anybody would. A big part of the Scott family life will be dealing with the grief. It’s definitely a growing experience for the family.” Another tease? Here’s the deal with Nathan for the rest of the season: “He’s finally got some time to spend with his family, and his family at this point in their lives really needs him,” James tells us. “He really gets the opportunity to be a father and a husband.” Model husband and father? Adorable.

My sources are telling me it’s most likely that only one will survive, but that it looks like nothing will be announced until the upfronts in New York in May when the networks announce all their fall schedules. I saw Dawn Ostroff at The Vampire Diaries event Saturday night and wanted to ask, but she slipped into the night all Damon-like. Boo! Oh, and a reminder on Life Unexpected: It moves to 8 p.m. tonight Monday on the CW. Check it out if you haven’t yet!

Superstud Robert Buckley tells us: “He has a lot of mystery in his past, and they did not waste any time introducing that. We just chatted with Shantel VanSanten (Quinn) this morning, and she couldn’t have been nicer–or more grateful for her new role in the tiny town of Tree Hill. And guess what? She’s married to a castmember in real life! Not Robert Buckley, but Jackson Brundage. That’s right, the adorable little Jamie Scott developed an instant crush on the new OTH star and took it to the next level. “He proposed to me on set when they brought me my wedding ring. Jackson got down on one knee and said ‘Will you marry me?’ He always calls me his wife and makes me eat lunch with him.” Too. Cute. Check back for more real scoop from our interview soon.
