JOE MANGANIELLO: SHIRTLESS & TRUE BLOOD READY!

---

Joe Manganiello: Shirtless & True Blood Ready!

One Tree Hill hunk Joe Manganiello shows off his sexy side in this shirtless shot from shutterbug S. Tong (@SonnySunshine).

The 33-year-old actor, who plays werewolf Alcide in season 3 of True Blood, teams up with Sookie (Anna Paquin) to rescue her kidnapped beau, Bill.

“There is definitely some [sexual] energy between the two of them,” executive producer Alan Ball tells EW. “It’s not like either one of them is looking for romance, but they’re thrown into several intense situations [and] it’s hard not to bond on a deeper level. The first shirtless scene [Joe] had I was like, ‘Who has those abs?’ He’s in crazy peak physical condition. He’s eating nothing but pure protein. And of course, this being True Blood, he’s already shot his first naked scene. Hello, werewolves when they shift — no clothes!”

Can you tell me anything about ‘One Tree Hill’s Nathan and Haley? I heard rumors of a pregnancy! – megundo via Twitter

Ah, the perpetual Naley Baby talk. Well, this much I can tease: Haley is a huge part of the last four episodes of this season (which resumes April 19), and Bethany Joy Galeotti “did a wonderful job with the material,” says a pal at the show.

Will These Shows Be Back?

THE CW
-

One Tree Hill has been one of those shows you can’t kill with a stick, but insiders put its chances of returning for another season at less than 50 percent. Although Life Unexpected has not been a ratings blockbuster, CW executives are more than likely to give it a second-season pickup and hope for growth because they like the creative quality of the show. “It really depends on the development,” says one insider.

Bubble Shows 2010: The CW

'Life Unexpected,' 'One Tree Hill,' 'Melrose Place': Keep 'em or kill 'em?

The final stop on the Bubblewatch 2010 tour is The CW, and like a lot of things with the fifth network, things are a little different when it comes to what's on the bubble.

The C-Dub has already picked up six of its series for next season -- and for a network that only broadcasts 10 hours of primetime a week, one of which is typically devoted to reruns, that takes care of most of the schedule.

We decided to include all three scripted shows that haven't been picked up yet in this round of polls. We don't think "Melrose Place" has an especially good shot at renewal, but we're including it nonetheless, because, well, stranger things have happened.

"One Tree Hill"

The case for it: Of the three shows that haven't had their futures decided yet, it has the biggest audience at 2.35 million viewers. Its fans, even after seven seasons and a leap forward in time, are still among the network's more devoted.

The case against it: After seven seasons on the air, it can't be a cheap show to make.
