Sophia Bush broke down in tears after she was asked to direct the penultimate One Tree Hill episode, calling it an “amazing honor” to be put in charge.
The actress, who plays Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill, sobbed when producers called her into a meeting and asked if she wanted to step behind the camera.
Bush has directed the show in the past, but insists it was “very poignant” to helm the second to last episode.
She recalls, “It was this weird thing where I was like, ‘Why is everyone sitting down? I feel like I’m being called in the principal’s office.’ I burst into tears and acknowledged what an amazing honor that was to be trusted with that.

Sasha: I entered your One Tree Hill contest! Now can I get finale scoop?
But of course. ANd since we happen to have some interesting info from creator Mark Schwahn, we’ll ignore your bossy tone (tsk tsk!). Mark promises that the series finale (sob!) will not leave a couple or storyline out in the cold. “You go into a series finale and you want everyone to be represented, so if you’re not interested in some of those couples there will be parts of the finale you won’t be interested in,” he reasons to us. “Either way, I feel like the emotions in the finale and the tone of the finale is very much One Tree Hill and is very indicative of where we started.” Excuse us while we go back into denial that this is ending.

One day, Sophia Bush, who has starred on The CW’s One Tree Hill for nine seasons, was sitting in the producers’ office when they said, “We have something we need to talk to you about.”
“It was this weird thing where I was like, ‘Why is everyone sitting down? I feel like I’m being called in the principal’s office,’” Bush tells The Hollywood Reporter. But the actress wasn’t in trouble after all. It turns out the producers wanted to ask Bush to direct the penultimate episode of The CW drama, which is finally ending after nine seasons.

OTH fans… in regards to my “little announcement,” I wanted to fill you all in about a live chat I’ll be doing this Wednesday (3/28) during, most likely, the West Coast’s airing of the 2nd to last episode of OTH. So this means 8:00pm PDT and 11:00pm EDT, this way no one will be without the episode, except Hawaii. I’d apologize to these people but you live in Hawaii. As far as Alaska goes, you won’t be too far behind. A small token of my appreciation for everyone whose supported this journey through the years. Humbly appreciative…

Tonight, we said goodbye to Dan Scott, one of the most iconic characters of One Tree Hill. He did die a hero, but did he get the redemption and forgiveness he craved? Paul Johansson gives an in-depth and emotional interview about playing one of the craziest, most-hated characters in OTH history.

Warning: If you’ve yet to watch Wednesday’s heartbreaking episode of One Tree Hill, avert your eyes now. We repeat, do not read on! Everyone else, proceed… with caution.
After nine scandal-filled, scheme-riddled, redemption-seeking seasons, beloved One Tree Hill baddie Dan Scott on Wednesday night bid an emotional — and final — farewell to the shrub-deficient town.
While his death wasn’t entirely unexpected, the rather exceptional hour of the long-running CW series pulled off a feat rarely seen in TV today: the unspoiled return of a fan fave character.
Craig Sheffer — who portrayed Keith Scott until the noble character was murdered by Dan in Season 3 — reprised his role for the final moments of the series’ pen-penultimate episode, helping usher his brother into the afterlife — and a heavenly one at that. What’s more, Keith even offered Dan his forgiveness for that fateful day nearly a decade ago (in Tree Hill time).
TVLine spoke with Paul Johansson about the fitting death of his Tree Hill alter-ego, his final moments on set and what he thinks about Keith’s surprise return.

As most of you know, as much as I love to share with you the magic of ordinary days, I am also very private about my personal life. In fact, the only reason I’m saying anything about this at all is because you’ll all be wondering soon why everyone is calling me “Bethany Joy Lenz” again. I’m sorry to say that Michael and I have decided to divorce.

When asked to sum up the final season for her “One Tree Hill” character in one word last fall at a farewell event in Wilmington, Daphne Zuniga smiled and simply said, “Sex.”The actress, who plays Victoria, the icy mother of fashion designer Brooke Davis Sophia Bush on the locally filmed show, didn’t elaborate at the time. But I couldn’t help but wonder if the recent arrival of Victoria’s ex-husband, played by Richard Burgi “Desperate Housewives”, might be the reason for Zuniga’s word choice. Is it safe to assume that Brooke’s mom and dad will be hopping into the sack?“You can if you like,” a coy Zuniga told me recently at a charity event in Los Angeles. “I’d go that way if I were you, but I’m not going to be a spoiler.”If the two do get together, they need to work fast. There are only three episodes left in the show’s ninth and final season. And Victoria won’t appear again until the March 28 episode.

Rejoice One Tree Hills fans who’ve been missing out on their weekly Chad Michael Murray fix since he left the CW hit series (save one recent appearance in the show’s final season): The actor has just landed a juicy role in the ABC drama pilot Scruples, which is set in the ’70s and is being produced by Natalie Portman. Yes, that Natalie Portman.

What happens when three entrepeneruial women put their heads together? As Meg Ryan said in French Kiss, “Maybe something… a little bit… like zis!”
Diamond Gothic began as a short narrative written one bored & rainy evening in Wilmington, North Carolina where I was filming the final season of One Tree Hill. If you know me at all, you know I have a MILLION balls in the air and the idea of starting a new project wasn’t even an option. But if I could collaborate… I thought… And within a few days, the concept of a rotating internet novel was born!
Without hesitation, the HelloGiggles team outstretched a hand to help a fellow sista. They introduced me to the lovely and hilarious JC Coccoli, who I knew would lend a playful and smart-as-a-whip voice to the story and, for another unique voice, I approached long-time galpal, actress & writer Abigail Spencer to be our third authoress. I sent out chapter one and said, “Let’s play!”

Chelle: Is Chad Michael Murray making another appearance on OTH?? That 3 minute teaser appearance was a joke!
We’re afraid CMM’s recent appearance on One Tree Hill was no joke and will most likely be the last time we see Lucas on the CW show. How we do we know? Because creator Mark Schwan told us so, adding that Lucas will be brought up in passing conversation only. We were on set when Murray filmed his scenes in the airport and unless he filmed something super top-secret for the finale, it seems highly unlikely that the prodigal son will return once more.
