As one of the sexier additions to the cult favorite One Tree Hill, which begins showing new episodes next month, Jana Kramer brings a bit of spice to the role of hard-partying model Alex Dupre, the new face of the clothing line designed by Brooke (Sophia Bush). Kramer, 26, is used to playing bad girls: She had a turn on Friday Night Lights as the girlfriend of Brian "Smash" Williams (Gais Charles), and was the seductive other woman who came between Jerry Ferrara and then real-life girlfriend Jamie Lynn Sigler on Entourage. Engaged to actor Johnathon Schaech, she dishes with BettyConfidential about his romantic proposal, their wedding plans and how she and the cast feel about the effort to save One Tree Hill and bring it back for an eighth season.
What’s your character like and what would you like to see happen to her?
My character has been through the wringer and back. She came to Tree Hill as someone who was just a mess. She was doing drugs, but Julian [played by Austin Nichols] helped her get on her feet. Hopefully, she’ll find true love.
Are there any similarities between yourself and Alex?
We’re both pretty carefree!

It’s amazing how dedicated our fans are; they have a ton of petitions going around right now. It is an awesome feeling to know how much they appreciate and enjoy what we do.
