8.05 Nobody Taught Us To Quit Recap

Haley is in the Crisis Center and doing a voice over “Dear Lucas”. She talks about doing her volunteer work. The phone rings she picks it up and the girl from the end of last week calls back and Haley asks how she has been.

Julian is recording Brooke. She talks about being in high school and feeling helpless after parents lost their fortune. She is talking about her feelings and declaring bankruptcy and how this decision has allowed her to keep her company but affected all the investors but she had decided to pay them back all their money by selling the company and give alway all her fortune. She is doing this because it what is right.

Julian asks her “what comes next?” Brooke says “I don’t know.”
Jamie runs into bathroom wanting to see Quinn’s gunshot wound as it is time to change her bandage. Quinn says lets cause it feels like it is oozing. Haley say no is it ok Lets do it. Quinn removes bandage and Haley about throws up.

Nathan and Mouth are at rivercourt. Both are there to think. Mouth asks if he can help. Nathan says he respects Mouth for refusing to report the story. Mouth tells Nathan about his podcast.

Nathan is back at home and asks Jamie how he is doing with the use of his internet or cellphone. Jamie asks is Nathan has told him he quit basketball and Nathan says no.

Brooke is at the jail and Victoria is yelling at her for selling Clos over Bros. Victoria says she never cared for the girl who followed her heart and tells Brooke to not come visit her again.

Julian meets Nathan at his house. He brings Jamie a baseball mitt. Julian tells Nathan about his starting over movie he has been putting together and Nathan says he should talk to Mouth. He is starting over. Nathan also give Julian a hard time about his “man purse” or “man bag” he is carrying with him

Nathan goes to see Clay at hospital trying to eat applesauce. Clay says Nathan should be at camp and not at hospital with him. Nathan tells Clay that he has decided to quit playing basketball. Clay says he is sorry and that he understands. His health and family should come first. Clay asks what he is going to do next? Nathan say yes I am going to his friend with rehab.

Haley meets Brooke under the bridge. Haley says she is tutor girl this is Peyton’s job and with a smile how can she help. Brooke says her mom was really upset. Haley says because if her moms choices that is why she is in jail and Brooke is having to sell the company. Brooke says it has always just been about getting her mom to love her. Haleys phone rings.

Haley and Brooke meet Mia at Tric. Mia wants to know is Alex and Chase are sleeping together yet. Haley says no. Brooke says yes. Mia starts stabbing a voodoo doll of Alex. Haley says she needs to book her a show so she can get away for a bit.

Julian is at Mouths house. Mouth wants a job so bad and immediately tells Julian he is in with out even letting Julian speak.

Quinn goes to see Clay and he says he is happy to be alive with all her oozy wonder. He is glad to be alive and that makes life perfect.

Julian is cleaning off camera lens and wants Mouth to be natural doing his normal life things as he is recording. He comes out in a suit very professional looking. Chase calls and tells him that he will let him come and work for a few hours to earn a little income. Mouth tells Chase to call his agent. Mouth drops condoms on the floor. Julian asks Mouth what he is doing he wants to why he is acting different. Mouth says if he does normal stuff it would be boring.

Mouth is in lounge clothes now and he is watching infomercials on tv. Julian says ok this sucks.

Haley says thank you on the phone. Nathan comes in and asks if he avoids things. Haley says no. He said he talked to Clay. Haley said he did avoid that. She said that she booked a show for Mia in Portland. Nathan says she should go along with her and he will keep the boy. Haley says come with me. She takes him into the room with pool and says lets play a game. For every shot you make you can do whatever you to me. Nathan scratches the first shot. He says you made me nervous. Haley pushes a ball in and starts to kiss Nathan. Brooke and Mia come in and Haley say She and Mia are going to Portland. Nathan asks Brooke how she is doing. He tells her he thinks Julian will be there for her and if not they are too.

Nathan get a call. He walks into clays hospital room and say that ISC will be handling Clays clients and they tell Nathan he needs to risk his health and just play. Nathan say Clay needs to tell the ISC to screw themselves. He says he will help clay and do whatever he cannot do. That is what he will do next.

Chase scares Alex as she is reading a script in the Tric bar. Chase tells Alex she looks amazing and she says he was amazing last night.

Julian is leaving and Mouth asks is Julian wants to stay. There is a knock at the door. Nathan is at the door.

Jamie is in garage and finds Nathans wheelchair. Haley asks if Jamie is ok about Nathan quitting basketball and tells him that his dad is going to be ok.

Brooke is going through all her wedding plans and getting rid of all them except her drawing of her wedding dress. Julian comes in and says She makes sad look beautiful.

Brooke goes to jail to see her mom. She tells her mom that her whole like she has just tried to make her mom proud of her. Brooke says she understands business and she also fairness and she expected her mother to be proud of her through it all. If she cannot do that then it is the last time she will ever call her stupid. She loves her mom but she will not come visit her again and her mother is not come see her either. What comes next is up to her.

Haley goes to see Clay and he is standing up. He has a gift for her. It is a dress. He says he is putting on his suit and they are walking of the hospital. As the doors people clap and Jamie throws the confetti. Haley runs up and hugs them both.

Chase is the bar cleaning up and comes across the script that alex was reading. Chase’s face looks sad as he reads.He goes and sees Alex and asks when the movie starts. Chase is upset cause she is leaving. She asks if they can make the week good and she says they can make it work. He says no and that she shouldn’t have lied.

Clay and Quinn arrive at beach house. They enter bedroom. Quinn locks and closes the windows. Quinn says they will be ok.

Nathan is looking at his Jerseys/trophies on the wall. He says he knew his basketball game would end someday he just didn’t think it would be today. Haley says his son is worried about his dad and Nathan asks how she is doing. She says she is fine and she knows her man will be fine too. He says because of you. They hug each other.

Brooke and Haley are sitting in Clothes over Bros. Haley says to focus on her life not work. She says she has an amazing man who loves her. Everything else will work itself out. Bros over Clothes Brooke says.

Nathan is giving retirement speech. Brooke is giving her speech about closing Clothes over Bros. Alex is packing and leaving her hotel room.

Nathan tucks Jamie in bed. Brooke is looking at her wedding dress sketches and both end their I look forward to what comes next.
