Jordan Russell would have driven even farther for the chance to meet her idol.
The 18-year-old made the five-hour drive from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Wilmington with her family Saturday to see actress Sophia Bush signing autographs to raise money for a local police memorial.
It was $20 per autographed photo. Russell brought duplicates.
“I look up to her so much,” Russell said. “She’s gorgeous, and she’s an amazing actress.”
Clutching footballs and glossy photos, fans from as far as New York and Tennessee crowded into Independence Mall on Saturday morning, hoping for autographs from their favorite athletes and members of the cast of One Tree Hill.
