The Park Record: “One Tree Hill” fans line Main Street to watch filming

Dozens of fans of the television show “One Tree Hill” lined the sidewalk across the street from the Egyptian Theatre midday Wednesday to watch the show film an episode, closely watching each take, snapping photos of the cast and enjoying a rare opportunity to see the actors and actresses as they work.

The cast went through a number of takes at the entryway to the Egyptian, with the crew loudly yelling “rolling,” “quiet, please” and “action” as they started to film each take. The footage will be used in an upcoming episode about a character’s movie showing at a film festival.

One of the actors, Gregory Harrison, could be heard saying the line, “It’s the premier of our movie” during the takes. Extras walked past the stars of the show as the scene was filmed.

The “One Tree Hill” producers called the film festival the Wasatch Valley Film Festival. The fictional film is called “Seven Dreams ‘Til Tuesday,” and the Egyptian’s marquee was changed so the name of the movie was on display. Wasatch Valley Film Festival banners were hung on light poles close to the Egyptian.
