Is there a formula to save a show? In the past, avid fans have sent studio executive tokens to remind them that their show is very important; for exmaple, Rowell (TV) fans sent bottles of Tabasco and Jericho fans sent peanuts. So what did One Tree Hill fans send the powers that be at the CW in order to help save their show? Basketballs, of course! Eveyone is in limbo; not even the actors know if they will be picked up for a season eight. That will all change on May 20th and we will be front row tweeting just for you!
On May 20th mid-morning, One Tree Hill fans will finally have an answer about the possibility of season eight. In New York City, at the CW Upfront presentation, the 2010-2011 lineup will be announced and the fate of the show will be revealed. For months, fans have been petitioning to save the show, and they even get #OTH to trend on Twitter when the show airs Monday nights.
It's not only the fans that are dying for an answer from the CW. The actors of the juicy drama want to know if they will have a job next year or not; word on the street is they will find out on Monday. Robert Buckley joked, "I'm waiting to find out if I have a job. I've been going ... to and fro to the unemployment office. So if I get the call on Monday, Daddy's going on the dole."
James Lafferty who plays Nathan Scott doesn't want to say good just yet. In an interview with Korbi TV, the actor said, " I think that we will always be able to end the show better if we know when the end is [coming]. I think that goes for any show. And I think the fans will be left wanting more if we don't get another season, absolutely."
