The CW has just announced that One Tree Hill will finally relaunch its theme songs after three years. When One Tree Hill Season 8 premieres, several featured artists will bring new life to Gavin DeGraw’s chart topping hit “I Don’t Want To Be,” by singing it in their own unique styles. Artists include Aimee Mann, Patrick Stump of “Fall Out Boy,” “Tegan & Sara,” Matthew Ryan, Laura Izibor and Kate Voegele.

September 13, 2010 (Burbank, CA) – After three seasons without using the show’s theme song, The CW’s music-forward “One Tree Hill” reintroduces musician Gavin DeGraw’s chart topping hit “I Don’t Want To Be,” as the main title opener to the season 8 premiere episode on Tuesday, September 14 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET).
In an innovative twist, the show will feature a different performer covering the hit song throughout the season, each in their own unique style. Featured artists include Aimee Mann, Patrick Stump of “Fall Out Boy,” “Tegan & Sara,” Matthew Ryan, Laura Izibor and Kate Voegele.
